About Diana
My name is Diana, and I started Agape Events in September 2008. As my company begins a 11th wedding season I thought it would be fun to tell you a little about how I got started.
Growing Up
I am a Spokane native, attending Whitworth College. I studied Psychology, knowing that I wanted to work with people in some way. I have always been detail oriented, paying special attention to all the little meticulous things in life. So, I put that type A personality to use and became an event planner! I am blessed to have a job that blends both my love of people with my ability to multi task. I feel truly privileged to do what I love.
I got married in April 2005, and after working a little bit, I headed to Gonzaga University and received a Master’s Degree in Leadership. I joke that as a wedding planner I get to use both my degrees: you’d be surprised how often I have to take charge of a group (leading a rehearsal) or do counseling (calming a stressed out bridal party member).

The Business
Agape Events, the business name, started as collaboration between my husband and I. He comes from Greek heritage, and Agape is the Greek word for unconditional love. We thought it was both a personal and fitting name for a company desiring to present and produce long lasting marriages, not simply beautiful events.
After 3 years in business, we were blessed with our first daughter. Now 9 bridal shows, numerous memorable weddings, and loads of details later we have two sweet girls!
I want to say a huge THANK YOU. Thank you to my husband for being my help, no matter how many events I take on. Thank you to my clients for trusting me on your most special day, and thank you to vendors that refer me and enjoy my hard work.
